About Senshi Con

Starting out in 2005 at West Anchorage High School in Alaska, Senshi Con has provided an outlet for enthusiasts of Asian culture, animation, graphic novels, and gaming. After many of the founding members graduated high school, Senshi Con changed its location to the University of Alaska Anchorage (2006-2012). Our many years at the university helped us to establish a name for ourselves in the community and allowed us to provide more events, guests, and exhibitors. With our attendance growing exponentially every year, it was necessary to move to a larger and more accessible location. From 2014 to 2016, our event was hosted at the William Egan Civic & Convention Center, located in downtown Anchorage. Beginning in 2017, Senshi Con is now held at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. Senshi Con’s 15th Anniversary in 2020 was vastly different because of the COVID-19. We held our very first virtual event called Senshi Online. In 2021, Senshi Con has been canceled. We are still planning to hold a smaller vendor-oriented event for our vendors and artists.
